Dear Patients, Families and Caregivers,
As you know, Governor Abbot recently announced that some of the statewide COVID-19 mandates will be lifted on 3/10/21, the most important of those being the mask mandate. Although vaccines are being distributed throughout the state, COVID 19 remains a serious concern in our state and new cases are still being confirmed daily.
The safety of our staff and patients is as always, our top priority. In the continued effort to keep our community safe and following the recommendation of CMS, our local hospital system and school district, we will still be asking our patients to use masks while in our office. We are continuously committed to ensuring the safety of both of our staff and our patients amidst the ongoing pandemic.
In addition to mask use, our office will continue practicing all COVID-19 safety protocols, including:
--Sterilizing all surfaces, counters, furniture, equipment, frames/sunglasses, counters, keyboards, door knobs every 2 hours during the day with 100% sterilized alcohol and UV sterilization.
--All equipment, exam rooms, imaging and pretest equipment, frames and sunglasses, chairs, will be sterilized with 100% sterilized alcohol and UV sterilization before and after each patient encounter.
--If possible, please fill out your New Patient Forms from our website prior to your appointment.
--If you or anyone you have been in contact with has had a fever or flu/respiratory symptoms we ask that you please inform our staff so that they can direct you.
--We will continue to provide curbside contact lens and glasses pickup when requested. Please call to schedule and a staff member will assist you.
May God bless you and on behalf of our Doctors and Staff, we appreciate your support and understanding and look forward to seeing you in the very near future! We will keep you informed if there are further changes and if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call or text us!
